About
A family business, written one building at a time.
HPS Holding has stayed small on purpose. We believe property work is local work — done in person, by people who pick up the phone, and who remember the boiler from last winter.

A note from James.
My grandfather bought his first rental house off East Abram Street in 1962. My father added five more over the next twenty years, and he taught me — somewhere between repainting a porch in August heat and reading a lease at the kitchen table — that this business is mostly about showing up.
We started HPS in 2009 with one duplex and one phone line. Sixteen years later we still answer that same phone line, and most of our work still comes from people one of our owners has talked to over coffee. I think that says more about us than any brochure can.
If you are an owner who wants quarterly statements you can actually read, a technician who knows the names of your tenants, and a broker who will tell you when a property has stopped paying you to keep it — I would like to hear from you.
